Dura-Fibre is looking to fill a 1st shift position. The standard shift is 8 hours, but there are opportunities for over-time. Our work week is Monday-Friday and no rotating schedules. Position Summary

This position requires the employee to proficiently operate the baler, scrap system and hogger to prevent down time of the Laminator and/or converting operations. This position will interact directly and indirectly with all company employees, customers, and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficiently operate Tow Motor, Unitizer, Baler and scrap system
  • Ensure the conveyors and machine centers are properly loaded/unloaded with proper skids and that product has been to shipping/secondary area with the appropriate labeling/tags.
  • Weigh skid waste from converting and laminator.
  • Change wire on the baler as needed to minimize down time.
  • Straighten up/frame in/package securely, all loads to ensure the product arrives intact to the customer.
  • Reload banding and stretch film as needed.
  • Perform required quality checks and record on the quality checklist.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all working areas, especially from the baler to shipping dock area.
  • Ensure all COGS work orders assigned to this position is done in a timely manner.
  • Band up, weigh, record and load all bales on scrap truck.
  • Keep baler full of wire.
  • LOTO baler and hogger while following Dura-Fibre's LOTO requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Perform all tasks safely.
  • Maintaining regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.

Qualifications

  • Computer skills
  • Read and write in the English language
  • Be able to communicate with all departments in the organization
  • Be able to perform basic math (prior to hire, candidate must pass math testing)

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma required
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
